I used my "Old fashioned" letter stencils (2 1/2 inch tall ones)to cut out pictures taken from the hostpital the day my baby was born into the letters of her name. Special friends holding her, her first feeding, etc. Then I cut out mats for them (again using the stencils and cutting a little larger.) Placing the letters across the tops of two pages I had my title and had 7 pictures lain out with room for various keepsakes underneath. It was the first 2-page layout and I love it!
Making Journals: I have an idea that if you want to keep your journal personal or if you just have bad writing is that you can hide it behind your pictures or mating paper. Now what you want to do is figure out where you want to put your journal and leave one side open so that when your done writing your journal you can just slide it in behind. Now I just make a tag shape from the sizzix machine I have and attach ribbion to it, and write my journal on there. Now I put my pages in a page protectors. So if you want to, I put my page in and mark a line where I have my journal. Once that is done I hole push a hole at each end of the line also using a self healing mat inside the protector page of course; I use the Making Memories hole push and mat with hammer. I take a exacto knife and ruler slicing on the marked line between the hole pushes. Now you can use this trick for anything you want to have easy access to on your pages. Hope this is useful information to all yall scrappers.
